What is Credit Rescoring?
Can you really remove negative information on credit reports
Credit rescoring is a legitimate way for companies to remove negative or misleading information from your credit report in as little as 72 hours. It is mainly done through mortgage lenders and brokers, so you should be wary of firms that promise you rapid rescoring without the use of such an agency. Also, it should be noted that the rescoring is mainly done to remove false or incorrect information from a credit score, so if you have some bad information like late payments or open accounts showing up then these are the quickest ones to get fixed. If the negative information is because you have bad credit through foreclosures or unpaid bills, then the rescoring is not likely to work at all. One advantage of rescoring is that you can often close accounts with too much available credit and you can then see your credit score improve when that information gets reported. .
